Our Coaches

Kyle Degelman is a professional footballer and the founder of KD Elite Football. A Victoria native, Kyle has played professionally across six countries — Germany, Austria, Ireland, Gibraltar, Cambodia, and India — competing at levels that demanded the technical, tactical, and professional standards he now brings to every KD Elite session.

KD Elite is built on what Kyle has experienced first-hand at the professional level: what separates players who progress from those who don't, what coaches at the next level are actually looking for, and what work needs to happen in training to close that gap. Every program Kyle delivers is built from that foundation.

Callum Weir is one of the most credentialed young goalkeepers in British Columbia. A Canada West First Team All-Star at the University of Victoria, Callum has earned professional contracts with two Canadian Premier League clubs — Pacific FC (2024) and Valour FC (2025) — while serving as the No.1 goalkeeper for TSS Rovers FC across 30 starts in League1 BC.

A Canadian Men's Futsal international and former Team Yukon representative, Callum brings a level of professional credibility to KD Elite's goalkeeping development that is genuinely rare at the youth level in Victoria. Every goalkeeper who trains in a KD Elite program is coached by an active professional with CPL experience.

Matthew Pearse is a Victoria native who developed through the Vancouver Island Wave program before establishing himself as one of the top attacking players in Canada West. A three-time Canada West award winner, Matthew has earned First Team All-Star honours in consecutive seasons while consistently producing at one of the highest levels in U SPORTS.

Having progressed through the local player pathway, Matthew understands exactly what it takes to reach the next level. He brings first-hand experience of high-performance football, helping players develop the technical quality, movement, and attacking decision-making required to succeed in elite environments.
